Vin'Odor started with wine-inspired room fragrances, including Riesling, the most popular wine in Germany. It seemed like a sure thing, but the Riesling room fragrance just sat on the shelf. Customers simply weren't buying it. The founder faced a decision: discontinue it or create a new one. Removing Riesling from the product line wasn't an option. Not with this wine. So I was commissioned to reinterpret the room fragrance, using Riesling as a base.

When people think of Riesling, they think of freshness, fruit, and that characteristic acidity that makes it so distinctive. The new blend captures exactly that: grapefruit provides the crisp acidity, orange the drinkability, and a soft peach rounds out the aroma. The first version was already impressive, and after two fine-tuning adjustments, the fragrance went into production. The result? The new Riesling surpassed all other varieties and became the clear number one in the portfolio.

Interpreting the founder's favorite wine as a room fragrance was no easy task. The characteristic sulfur notes of Sauvignon Blanc dissipate quickly. Therefore, we use a natural absolute, which makes the fragrance oil as expensive as that of a luxury perfume. Only in this way can the balance between green freshness and exotic fruit be maintained. The fragrance appeals to connoisseurs who prefer a less sweet scent but appreciate the wine's typical fruity character.
