  • 1. Scent Trinity™ Strategy

    Together, we analyze your brand, your audience, and your positioning. What emotions should your fragrance convey? What values does your brand embody? How do you differentiate from competitors? What olfactory effect do you want to achieve? You receive a concrete roadmap that ensures your fragrance doesn't just smell good, but works for your brand.

  • 2. Fragrance Development

    Based on the strategy, I develop three initial olfactory concepts. Each interprets your brand values in a different way. You receive samples for testing. Then we refine the chosen direction together over several weeks, until the composition is a perfect fit. At the end stands a fragrance formula, kept exclusively for you and reproduced on demand.

  • 3. Production and Safety

    After approval, my manufacturer in Grasse handles the production of the fragrance oil. Optionally, I also organize bottling and packaging. Whether 100 flacons for a pilot project or 10,000 units for rollout: every batch meets EU Cosmetics Regulation requirements (or CLP for room fragrances). The safety assessment is conducted by an authorized specialist.

How does a fragrance development project work with you?

The project starts with the Scent Trinity™ Strategy Session: an intensive workshop where we analyze your brand DNA, define the scent direction, and develop a clear roadmap for the months ahead. Based on this, I compose three distinct fragrance drafts, each interpreting a different facet of your brand. You pick your favorite. Through up to five rounds of feedback, we refine the composition until it precisely captures your vision. The final fragrance oil concentrate is then produced in Grasse to the highest quality standards.

How much does fragrance development cost?

Development per fragrance starts at €3,250 net. Included are three distinct initial drafts, up to five revision rounds, selection of the appropriate fragrance concentration, and preliminary IFRA and EU compliance checks. Production, bottling, and packaging are calculated separately.

Is there a more affordable entry point for founders to reduce risk?

Yes. With the Scent Discovery package, you can start from €1,200 net. Included are three distinct initial drafts as physical samples. You can test the scent directions, gather feedback, and then decide at your own pace whether to commission the full development. If you proceed, the amount is fully credited toward the total fee.

How long does it take to develop a custom fragrance?

From the strategy workshop to the final production-ready fragrance oil, expect 3 to 5 months. You typically receive the first drafts within 4 to 6 weeks. A revision usually reaches you in 2 to 4 weeks. The total duration depends on how quickly you test and provide feedback. The subsequent optional production process takes approximately another 12 weeks.

What are the minimum order quantities?

If you handle bottling yourself and only need the fragrance oil, you can order from as little as 5 kg. If I organize the bottling for you, we start at a lot size of 100 units, ideally 250, since the 5 kg minimum of fragrance oil is better utilized that way. There's no upper limit.

Who owns the final formula?

The fragrance formula stays with the perfumer, as is standard in the industry. You receive an exclusive, unlimited-term usage right tied to the quantity of fragrance oil ordered. This means: you can produce and sell the fragrance for as long as you want. To reproduce the fragrance, simply reorder the fragrance oil from me. How many projects do you handle simultaneously?

I deliberately work with a limited number of parallel projects so each one gets my full attention. Currently, I take on a maximum of 2 to 3 projects at the same time.

How does communication work during the project?

You work directly with me as perfumer and brand strategist. The Scent Trinity™ Strategy Session takes place via video call. In between, we communicate via email or phone as needed, without unnecessary meetings. One point of contact, no briefing ping-pong.
