Vin'Odor started with wine-inspired room fragrances. The Riesling, Germany's favorite wine, was among them. A sure bet, you might think. But the Riesling sat on shelves. Customers didn't buy it. The founder faced a choice: discontinue or start over. Removing Riesling was out of the question. Not this wine. So she commissioned me to reinterpret the room fragrance, using a Riesling base.

When you think of Riesling, you crave freshness, fruitiness, and that unmistakable signature acidity. The new composition captures exactly that: grapefruit provides crisp acidity. orange delivers a juicy, mouthwatering quality. soft peach rounds out the fragrance profile. The first version impressed. After two refinements, the fragrance went into production. The result? The new Riesling overtook all other scents and became the clear number one in the collection.

Interpreting the founder's favorite wine as a room scent was no simple task. The characteristic sulfur notes of Sauvignon Blanc evaporate quickly, which is why we use a natural absolute that makes this fragrance oil as precious as a luxury perfume.
